As the founder of the Ashley DeRamus Foundation, she works tirelessly to promote inclusion, education, and empowerment for the Down syndrome community. Ashley has been recognized nationally for her advocacy efforts and continues to inspire others through her work, performances, and commitment to living life without limits.

In April 2015, Ashley DeRamus was honored with the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) Self-Advocate of the Year – Champion of Change Award. As a passionate advocate from Hoover, Alabama, Ashley was recognized for her outstanding leadership and commitment to advancing the rights and visibility of individuals with Down syndrome.
In 2012, Ashley DeRamus founded the Ashley DeRamus Foundation with a mission close to her heart. The foundation was created for—and is dedicated to—the education, advancement, and quality of life for children and adults with Down syndrome. \
